Tron-O-Links are a new crypto primitive. They are a way to send and receive crypto assets using passwords.

Set your own passphrase for claiming the funds. This can by anything, a password or maybe the correct answer to a puzzle.

Use the lock deposit amount to require a deposit before someone attempts claim the funds.
Link-O-Tron uses a commit-reveal scheme to prevent frontrunning.
  • 1. The claimer says "I know the password"
  • 2. The smart contract locks all interactions to the claimer only for some time.
  • 3. The claimer reveals the password.
  • 4. The smart contract makes a transaction to the sender with the funds.

One possible attack is a DoS attack where someone does step 1 without ever doing 3. Such an attack costs gas and there is nothing to win directly. However, it could cause damage, if someone relies on the transaction to go through. This field lets you set a deposit amount for step 1, and if the password is not revealed, the claimer loses the deposit. This makes such DoS much more costly.
